Serving on the panel next to the giant of Interventional Pulmonology — and my mentor — Felix Herth, at the Pan-European Interventional Pulmonology Congress is no small thing. It’s one of those moments when your professional path meets personal emotion, and you feel that a whole cycle of learning and effort finds its place to shine.
Our topic: cryo-techniques in bronchoscopy. A field we have been systematically developing for years within the HYGEIA Group, turning theory into everyday practice with real benefit for our patients. This experience has led us to become —according to the official distributor, Endoscopiki SA— the leading users of cryoprobes in Greece.
Our presence at the congress was not just a participation. It was a confirmation that Greek interventional pulmonology can stand at the forefront of Europe, with hard work, vision, and perseverance. And, of course, another opportunity to draw inspiration from a mentor who continues to define the boundaries of the field.
